Job Overview: Maintenance Mechanic



We are seeking a

highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician

to ensure the

optimal functioning

of our production facility. This role requires expertise in

mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, instrumentation, building, and hydraulic & pneumatic systems

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Maintenance



Inspect, repair, and maintain production machinery such as mixers, conveyors, pumps, and packaging equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to optimize performance and minimize downtime. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to prevent production interruptions. Oversee installation of new machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment for repairs.

Electrical Maintenance



Conduct routine inspections and tests on electrical systems, including motors, switches, and control panels. Repair or replace faulty electrical components to prevent breakdowns and hazards. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize risks of outages or system failures. Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations in all activities.

HVAC Maintenance



Inspect, clean, and repair HVAC systems to maintain indoor air quality. Proactively address condensation issues in plant areas (canopies, coolers, and freezers). Conduct annual washing of condensation units for optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance such as filter replacement, lubrication, and system calibration. Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures.

Plumbing Maintenance



Inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, including pipes, valves, and drains. Perform preventive maintenance for efficient water distribution and wastewater removal. Respond to plumbing emergencies such as leaks and blockages to minimize damage. Maintain complete water treatment systems, including grease traps, pumps, and chemical dosing equipment. Monitor water quality and pressure levels, taking corrective actions when necessary.

Instrumentation and Control Systems Maintenance



Calibrate and maintain instrumentation devices such as sensors, fluid pumps, and controllers. Diagnose and resolve control system malfunctions efficiently. Conduct regular safety checks on interlocks and alarms to ensure regulatory compliance.

Building Maintenance



Inspect and maintain the structural integrity of the facility, including walls, floors, and ceilings. Repair or replace damaged building components such as doors, windows, and roofing. Conduct routine tasks like painting, cleaning, and pest control to ensure a safe work environment.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Maintenance



Regularly inspect hydraulic systems for leaks, wear, and proper fluid levels. Diagnose and fix hydraulic issues, replacing defective parts as necessary. Assist in installing and upgrading hydraulic systems to improve efficiency. Ensure proper hydraulic fluid handling and regulatory compliance. Monitor compressed air quality, maintaining required food processing standards. Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure system integrity.

Requirements:



Education & Experience:



o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or food production maintenance.

o Certification or training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or instrumentation is preferred.

o Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in mechanical repairs, including mixers, conveyors, flyers, and packaging equipment.

o Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels.

o Familiarity with plumbing systems, water treatment processes, and piping maintenance.

o Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.

o Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including compressed air quality management.

o Knowledge of electrical sematic and strong knowledge of mechanical components of machinery

Physical & Safety Requirements:



o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

o Comfortable working in hot, cold, and humid conditions as required.

o Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and food industry standards.

o Ability to operate power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
