The Opportunity:



The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations throughout the facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning effectively and safely. This role involves leading the maintenance team, coordinating maintenance schedules, implementing preventative maintenance programs and overall general facility and property maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Your responsibilities will include:



Managing maintenance functions to include installation of new equipment and machinery utilizing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and instrumentation skill sets. Overseeing maintenance schedules to include scheduling of new work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order and to minimize disruption to operations. Performing preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery throughout the plant. Working closely with production, quality and warehouse teams to address maintenance related issues and priorities. Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical issues. Managing maintenance compliance programs and inspections in accordance with current health and safety legislation, codes and company H&S programs. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities including maintenance repairs, equipment history, calibration and certification. Managing a spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical supplies and equipment. Maintaining the maintenance shop, work area and facility in a neat, clean and orderly condition. Coordinating and maintaining relationships with contractors and suppliers. Responding to and availability for emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns during normal business hours and as needed outside of a normal shift. Observing and enforcing company established safety policies and standards.

Your skills and expertise:



Certificate of Qualification, licensed 309A/442A certification. Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with hands on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Proactive approach to facility management ensuring that systems are maintained and operational. Demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to work with varying physical demands and temperatures. Effective time management and the skill to handle several tasks simultaneously. Flexibility for unexpected work continuation needs and on call requirements. Competent math and English skills (reading and writing). Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications and data entry. Valid driver's license.
