is seeking a

Maintenance Manager

to lead and empower our maintenance team to achieve exceptional standards. This role will oversee the development of preventative maintenance and resource programs to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming hotel environment for colleagues, guests, and visitors.

The

Maintenance Manager

will balance office responsibilities such as scheduling and planning with hands-on duties, including resolving technical and system malfunctions across the property.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, motivate, and support a diverse team responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the hotel, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, carpentry, locksmithing, and general repairs. Partner with the Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, and other departments to coordinate guest services and resolve maintenance issues promptly to exceed guest expectations. Develop, implement, and manage an extensive preventative maintenance program for guest suites, public spaces, and safety systems to keep the property in pristine condition. Ensure execution of planned and scheduled maintenance activities, coordinating with all departments to minimize disruption. Train, coach, and counsel maintenance team members; assign work, monitor performance, and maintain records of repairs and projects. Perform general repairs to suites, amenities, and hotel equipment, as well as groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and water quality testing. Oversee recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of maintenance team members as needed. Monitor and manage the hotel's energy consumption, utility systems, and mechanical infrastructure. Remain available on an on-call basis during off-hours to respond to emergency situations.

Requirements



Minimum of 3 years' supervisory or project management experience in maintenance or facilities management. A hands-on professional with knowledge in multiple aspects of property maintenance. Engineering degree/diploma or related technical discipline preferred. Strong knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, health and safety standards, and other compliance requirements. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset. Highly organized, results-oriented, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with computerized maintenance systems is an asset. Demonstrated leadership skills, setting high standards of performance and inspiring the team to achieve results. Strong commitment to safety and actively promoting a safe work environment throughout the property. Availability to respond to emergency requests on an on-call basis.

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
