We are looking for a

Maintenance Lead

Position Overview



Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the

Maintenance Lead

will oversee and perform general, preventative, and emergency maintenance across the hotel's interior, exterior, grounds, and parking areas. This includes maintaining and operating our hotel shuttle, ensuring its mechanical reliability, cleanliness, and safe transportation of guests to and from the airport.

You'll be the go-to person for maintenance concerns, coordinating tasks, managing contractors, and ensuring everything functions seamlessly. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel systems, including HVAC, pool & spa equipment, emergency systems, and plumbing. Track and update maintenance logs for all safety and operating systems. Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs (heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical, appliances). Schedule and organize third-party service appointments when needed. Conduct regular inspections of property interior, exterior, and landscape. Operate, inspect, and maintain the hotel shuttle, including cleanliness, minor mechanical upkeep, and safety checks. Drive the hotel shuttle as scheduled, providing friendly and efficient guest transportation. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, licensing standards, and company SOPs. Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues efficiently. Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and professional manner. Maintaining the cleanliness of general public areas such as the parking lot, hotel exterior, landscaping, and garbage bins. Be proactive in suggesting improvements that enhance guest and operational experience.

What We're Looking For



Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or facility management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and respond under pressure. High flexibility and interpersonal skills to thrive in a diverse work environment. Must be comfortable with flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Class 5 driving license)

Bonus Skills



Experience with pool/hot tub systems & building mechanicals. Knowledge of safety inspections and regulatory compliance procedures. Previous shuttle driving experience is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
