The Eastern Irrigation District (EID), Brooks, Alberta, seeks a full time MAINTENANCE FOREMAN to join our Operations team.
Under the direction of the Divisional Superintendent, the Maintenance Foreman is responsible for maintaining District facilities to ensure efficient water delivery, including tasks such as repairing pipeline leaks, organizing maintenance and welding projects, cleaning ditches, and installing structures like culverts and Texas gates. They may also supervise construction and maintenance projects, provide direction and training to Water and Equipment Operators, and offer hands-on assistance as needed.

The individual must have a broad set of qualifications and skills, including, but not limited to:
Basic construction background and familiarity operating light-duty construction equipment.
Basic welding experience and familiarity operating power tools.
Familiarity and knowledge of the EID and/or the ability to read a map book.
Effective interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence.
This is a safety-sensitive position and, as such, candidates must complete preemployment drug and alcohol screening, provide a current driver's abstract, and a criminal record check.
