Job Description


Primary Objective of the Position: Reporting directly to the Director MCC, the Maintenance Fleet Scheduler will be part of the team responsible for scheduling, planning and parts acquisition for the Line Maintenance Team. This role is a key team member in managing and controlling all aspects of scheduling and checking compliance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Controlling daily maintenance/Service and Weekly check requirements and out-of-service storage checks as required.
  • Evaluating and identifying flight schedule opportunities for accomplishing aircraft maintenance.
  • Communicating with Heavy Maintenance Representative or Heavy Maintenance Team to ensure estimates are accurate and the position of the next aircraft is lined up and within limits.
  • Interfacing with other departments to ensure all scheduled work parameters are met by provisioning ground time for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Verifying resource requirements and availability before scheduling work.
  • Liaise with various internal departments, management and external maintenance providers, as well as overseas locations to execute scheduled maintenance.
  • Monitor and modify, as necessary, the fleet schedule to ensure maintenance is completed with a focus on compliance and fleet dispatch performance.
  • Highlight areas of conflicting work / ground time and propose solutions while minimizing operational and financial impact.
  • Maintain database of maintenance station capabilities and contact information.
  • Tracking and reporting on operational statistics and performance reports.
  • Coordinating with Supply Chain the logistics tracking of critical material shipments for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) ensuing best delivery times to mitigate the operational impact.
  • Obtaining the required special support equipment required for defect maintenance and schedules as necessary.
  • Maintaining and updating system tasks and adjusting plans to ensure alignment with aircraft schedule changes.
  • Support MCC with defect schedules for items that require extended downtime to resolve.
  • Stay current with all company and regulatory training required to function in the assigned role.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Policies and Procedures.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on in airline maintenance environment.
  • Previous experience as a planner/scheduler is a significant asset.
  • Experience in AOG Logistics is an asset.
  • Must be a proven team player and work well in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strengths in scheduling, planning and resourcing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Adobe programs.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, autonomous and very motivated.
