Meet Fresh Prep -- Canada's most convenient and sustainable meal kit delivery service.

As a certified B Corporation, we make convenient eating healthy and sustainable for the communities we operate in. We source quality local ingredients whenever possible, and deliver in reusable, recyclable and compostable packaging. We offer 10 chef-created meal kit recipes each week, with options for many lifestyles and preferences including vegetarian and vegan.

What You'll Be Doing:

Providing in-depth guidance and direction for any issues that arise with the automated systems. Assist in the design and development of both electrical and mechanical systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating equipment, maintaining conveyor belts, and adjusting sensors. Conduct testing and analysis of automated systems to ensure performance and reliability. Collaborate with senior staff to create detailed documents and specifications. Support ongoing projects by performing research and development Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation processes and procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide project updates and report on progress. Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment or systems as needed. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working on-site.

Work Conditions:

Physical ability to lift up to 50lb(~23kg). Travel to the various site locations will be required(both local and provincial). Safety equipment will be required when working in the production floor, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, smock/coat, gloves, etc. Occasional working after-hours as required. Hazards associated with the trade. Work both indoors and outdoors. Will be primarily working in temperature controlled environments (refrigerated spaces)

What We Are Looking For:

Graduated in an engineering or technologist program or a related field. Basic understanding of electronics and controls systems Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as leading industry developments. Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and safety procedures. Familiarity with Industrial platforms (such as Inductive Automation Ignition) Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Effective communication skills to interact with team members interdepartmentally. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
