Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex located in Regina, SK.

We operate a world-class refinery that utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce 130,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day and an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters. We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to provide an expedited problem-solving approach to maintenance activities at the Co-op Refinery Complex.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

  • Perform analysis of complex problems on electrical and instrumentation equipment including low and medium voltage switch gear, electric motors, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and protection relays.
  • Prepare Construction Work Packages (CWP\xe2\x80\x99s) outlining proper repair or modification and subsequent testing of existing equipment at the complex.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for maintenance activities by assisting Tradespeople, Maintenance Planners and Coordinators in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and instrumentation problems.
  • Provide technical evaluations and support for turnaround related activities.
  • Complete engineering design work for improvements and modifications to existing equipment.
  • Complete economic analysis and risk assessments of alternative repair paths, considering effectiveness of repair along with impact to safety, environment, operation, and mean time to repair durations.
  • Prepare tender documentation, review submissions, and recommend vendor award for major pieces of replacement equipment and repairs.

You will work closely with other functions in our Maintenance & Reliability business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Equipment Integrity, Reliability Engineering, Purchasing, Planning and Coordination

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:
  • Have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in industrial systems, electrical or electronic systems engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer.
  • Education and experience within CSA, IEEE, API and IEC codes and standards, RCM methodology and maintenance management such as PEMAC MMP program, SMRP or CMRP considered an asset.
