Maintenance Electrician

Location:

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Wage:

$42.81/hour (Ticketed) + $2.00/hour night shift premium

Shift:

Night - Continental (10-12 hour shifts)

Key Details

Base Pay:

$42.81/hour

Night Premium:

Additional $2.00/hour (9 pm - 6 am)

Schedule:

6 pm - 6 am, 3-4 nights per week, including one weekend shift

Relocation Allowance:

$1,000 - $1,500 for out-of-province candidates

Tool Allowance:

$600 annually

Extra Premiums:

For PLC technicians & dual-ticket certifications

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain motors, motor controls, automation devices, and pneumatic systems. Perform general facility electrical maintenance (120-600V). Read and interpret manuals and blueprints to execute installations and repairs. Use multimeters, insulation testers, and thermal imagers to diagnose issues. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Support production teams during runtime to ensure optimal equipment performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability. Complete work orders using the internal asset management system. Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and follow LOTO policies.

Qualifications

Red Seal / Industrial Electrician License (Required)

Minimum 3 years' experience

in a

high-speed manufacturing environment

(food manufacturing preferred). Strong technical expertise in

industrial electrical systems

. Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, insulation testers, thermal imagers). Basic

PLC troubleshooting skills

(asset). Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Outlook). Mechanical aptitude or dual-ticket certification is an asset.
