Job Overview

We're looking for a licensed Maintenance Electrician (309A) to join our maintenance team in North York, Ontario. In this hands-on role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced electrical systems and production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems, PLCs, and automation, paired with a commitment to safety, precision, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and automation systems to ensure optimal equipment performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and other production equipment. Install, modify, and rewire electrical circuits, components, and control panels as required. Work collaboratively with Millwrights and other maintenance professionals to address mechanical-electrical challenges. Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and documentation of all electrical work performed. Support plant safety programs and uphold compliance with all safety and electrical codes, regulations, and procedures. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing plant performance.

Qualifications

Licensed Industrial Electrician (309A) in good standing. Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Skilled in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems and automation equipment. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Strong understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and computerized control systems. Thorough knowledge of electrical safety standards, preventive maintenance best practices, and lockout/tagout procedures. Proactive problem solver who can work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to work rotating shifts and additional hours.
