, Ontario. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex electrical systems and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and automation, along with a commitment to safety and reliability.
Pay rate
starts at $32 per hour, with an alternating weekly schedule: Week 1 runs from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Week 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on production demand.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery, control panels, and automation systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues involving PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and production line equipment.
Install, modify, and rewire electrical circuits and components as needed.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes, regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate closely with Millwrights and other maintenance staff to address mechanical-electrical issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work, service logs, and maintenance activities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance and operational reliability.
Support plant safety programs and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance with strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Valid Industrial Electrician (309A) License.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
In-depth knowledge of PLC systems, VFD drives, and automated control systems.
Strong understanding of electrical safety, preventive maintenance, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Effective problem-solving and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and additional hours as operational needs arise.
