POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform industrial electrical services in accordance with standard practices and the Canadian Electrical Code. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain light industrial equipment and controls. Ac and Dc Motors, VFD and servo drives, PLC's, pneumatic & hydraulic valves and positioners, limit switches and proximity sensors, safety gate switches and relays. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical distribution equipment and components. Circuit breakers, disconnects, transformers, power supplies, cable tray, conduit, wire and cable termination, bonding and testing. Document work order progress and completion to ensure proper record keeping within the CMMS System. Assist with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs and maintenance tasks as necessary. Assist with parts inventory and purchasing as necessary. Will understand and work according to the safety guidelines as noted in the Employee Policy Manual and the Company Safety Manual.

DESIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship program.

COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIORS:

Must have a working knowledge of electrical industry codes and standards and be able to refer to the appropriate codes. Must have a can-do attitude and a sense of urgency when performing duties. Must be willing to work overtime on short notice. Must have an awareness of and promote safe work practices. Ability to foster and maintain a positive team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week
