Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Logistics Coordinator, the incumbent receives, screens and enters work orders into a network based Computerized Maintenance Management System; dispatches and forwards all work requests for Maintenance Services; routes calls and prioritizes calls appropriately, including urgent and emergent calls; deals with referrals from off-hours work, voice mail requests, computer generated requests; and generates reports related to various maintenance activities. Provides coverage for Maintenance Stores when required.
Experience

• Previous maintenance or trade related clerical/secretarial support experience including call screening and dispatching required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
• Typing 50 wpm.
• General knowledge of personal computer operations required (Windows and networked environment).
• Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance and trade practices.
• Must be able to work in an environment subject to frequent interruptions and emergency situations, maintaining excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Good physical and mental health.
• Good manual dexterity with the ability to handle long periods of sitting, telephone operation and keyboard entry.
• Must be able to recall and follow procedures during emergency situations.
