Our Impact




As Maintenance Director, you will lead Inovata Foods' maintenance strategy to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You will align maintenance initiatives with production goals to deliver world-class equipment uptime, OEE performance above 85%, cost efficiency, and full regulatory compliance, while fostering a proactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance culture.


Key Responsibilities:




Leadership & Team Development: Build and mentor a skilled maintenance team, define roles and accountability, and foster a culture of ownership and safety. Maintenance Strategy: Shift the department from reactive to proactive maintenance, implementing preventive and predictive programs. Reliability & Continuous Improvement: Reduce unplanned downtime, lead root cause analysis, and implement reliability-centered maintenance initiatives. Systems & Processes: Optimize HxGN EAM CMMS usage for planning, scheduling, and reporting; ensure accurate data discipline to drive decisions. (We are in the early phases of implementing HxGN EAM, so you will play a key role in shaping its adoption and effectiveness.) Asset Management: Maintain and improve reliability across both state-of-the-art equipment and aging assets awaiting replacement. Budget & Capital Planning: Manage maintenance budgets, develop medium-term capital plans, and conduct ROI analysis for major projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to ensure alignment and transparency.

What You Bring:




Education & Credentials


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred). Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) (preferred). Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred). Trade certificate is a nice to have. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (preferred). Health & Safety certification (preferred).

Core Competencies




Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems. Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and drive cultural change. Experience with CMMS systems (HxGN EAM preferred) and data-driven decision-making. Skilled in budgeting, planning, and capital project management. Familiarity with food manufacturing standards and regulatory compliance


Preferred Experience



Leadership in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or CPG. Success in transforming maintenance culture from reactive to proactive. Experience implementing TPM, RCM, or similar reliability programs. Ability to manage reliability across mixed asset environments (new and legacy equipment).

Working Conditions




This position is based on-site at our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Occasional extended working hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines. Occasional travel to our Edmonton, AB facility will be required.
