PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this guest-facing position supports the smooth operation of the resort by assisting with preventative maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include interacting professionally with guests, staff, and contractors, and ensuring timely response to service needs. All tools, safety equipment, and job-specific training will be provided. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the comfort and functionality of our resort environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., door/cupboard adjustments, lightbulb changes, vent/fan cleaning) Complete minor plumbing tasks such as toilet levelling and drain cleaning Support HVAC and appliance upkeep including filter cleaning, fridge thawing, and basic troubleshooting Carry out deep cleaning and detailing (e.g., carpets, upholstery, decks, chimneys, pressure washing, resealing grout/showers) Conduct surface repairs and cosmetic touch-ups (e.g., patching, painting, baseboard repair) Adjust and maintain windows, doors, and screens

QUALIFICATIONS

Attention to detail and strong work ethic. Previous resort maintenance experience is an asset. Flexible availability based on business requirements. Able to work under time pressure while maintaining a positive work environment. Physical fitness to perform repetitive motions such as bending, lifting, stairs, etc. Able to lift up to 50lbs following WorkSafe BC lifting guidelines. Valid driver's License and clear abstract an asset Able to work as a team, or independently.
This is an onsite position. Monday to Friday days, 8-hour shift. Start/end times may be flexible.
