Position Overview:
Thomson Power Systems (a Regal Rexnord company) is a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the power generation industry for over 50 years. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Associate to join our team. This successful candidate will be responsible for waste removal, facility cleanliness, basic equipment and facility preventative maintenance and repairs. Main responsibilities:

• Maintain facility cleanliness by following waste removal schedule.
• Operate company vehicle
• Errand running (acquiring or dropping off parts, products or equipment per manager's request)
• Operate MHE (Material handling equipment)
• Assist with basic facility, machinery repairs and maintenance (lighting, tool repair, plumbing, doors etc.)
• Contact vendors and contractors to organize repairs and maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to handle any basic maintenance related jobs with minimal supervision.
• Promote and practice Lean manufacturing processes as per RBS standards.
• Follow and comply consistently with site ISO standards and practices.
• Ensure all EHS procedures, goals, and site initiatives are followed consistently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum High school graduate certificate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to accurately prepare and enter data into spreadsheets.
• Valid BC driver's license and clean driving record
• Basic tools required for repairs and maintenance (wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, impacts etc.)
• Valid Forklift license

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to work overtime when required
• Basic tools required for repairs and maintenance (wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, impacts etc.)
• Fluent English required
