Job Description

Westfine Meats Inc. is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant at our meat processing plant. This position works Monday - Friday & weekends as needed with various shift timings as required.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist maintenance technicians and millwrights Ability to perform tasks such as cleaning and lubricating equipment; replacing belts, hoses, filters; tightening bolts, guards, covers; parts handling and tool preparation Ability to use basic hand and power tool Assist with: Conveyors Packaging machines Grinders, slicers, mixers Execute general repair and maintenance work Ability to recognize unsafe or abnormal equipment conditions and report them Ability to work in a team environment Performing other duties as assigned

Skill and Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent experience in a related role is preferred Food Manufacturing experience minimum 1 year Basic skills of Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook Strong Written and verbal communication skills
