We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team in ensuring the optimal operation and safety of our retirement homes. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting facility operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in retirement home settings. Leadership qualities and supervisory experience are a plus, as this role may involve overseeing junior staff or contractors. Candidates should be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on retirement buildings
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using schematics and technical manuals
Maintain facility infrastructure including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards during all maintenance activities
Support facilities maintenance projects including upgrades, installations, and repairs
Lead or supervise maintenance team members or contractors when required
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Experience
Proven experience in retirement maintenance management
Experience using CMMS software for work order management and documentation
Electrical experience including wiring, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting electrical components
Knowledge of retirement processes, safety standards, and facilities maintenance best practices
Customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors when necessary
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$19.60 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week
