Reporting to Development Team Manger, Mainframe Developer design, develop and maintain the applications involving Mainframe- COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM and MQ Series to support the post trade business unit.

Key Accountabilities

Technical design, and implementation (build/code), applications - COBOL, DB2, CICS and MQ

Contribute to application improvement and optimization (through code audits, architecture changes)

Work with all team members in troubleshooting issues and bug fixes

Support the application in 24X7 environment

Must haves:

Have 5-10 years of experience with IBM mainframe technologies such as; CICS, COBOL, TSO, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and MQ Series

Knowledge or related experience working in a mainframe development or production environment supporting financial services applications.

Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.

Knowledge of required programming languages and can code with little oversight.

Nice to haves:

Knowledge of technical/business environment and processes.
