The successful individual will be required to perform and complete tasks associated with the manufacturing of all machined components.
Here's what a typical day looks like!
To work in a clean, safe, and organized manner, as outlined in the Health and Safety Program; this includes crane and forklift training and use
Verify and identify materials for size, shape, and type to ensure that the material selected is correct for the application according to engineering drawings and instructions
Operate and use machine shop equipment for the purpose of manufacturing all machined components; this equipment includes bridgeports, surface grinders, horizontal lathe, saws, and CNC machinery
Use all measuring and checking skills to verify that all machined components are correct to blueprint dimensions
Utilize and respect machine shop equipment
Participating in finishing of details and material preparation
Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
Complete inspection reports prior to the job being removed from the machine
Perform all other duties as assigned

A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience
Grade 12 O.S.S.D or equivalent
Valid Ontario Driver's license
Must be willing and able to achieve your crane and forklift certification
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Possessing and utilizing your own tools for daily tasks (ex. micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc.)
Machining software knowledge, including Lemoine, MasterCam, and Smirt would be considered an asset
Strong mechanical problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of machining equipment and software including Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers, milling, grinding, and fabrication would be considered an asset
Experience in a machine shop would be considered an asset
Ability to work shift work (days and afternoons), overtime, and weekends as required
