Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team in Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in operating manual lathes and milling machines, with additional familiarity with CNC lathe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate manual lathe and milling machines to produce precision parts.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to fabricate parts to exact dimensions.

- Inspect and measure finished parts using precision instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.

- Maintain and troubleshoot machines to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure products meet technical

specifications.

- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and accuracy.

- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

- Assist in the maintenance of equipment and tools to extend their longevity.

Qualifications:

-Minimum 5 years of machining experience.

-Technical certification or diploma in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is an asset.

- Familiarity with CNC lathe programing and operation is considered an asset.

- Proficient with manual lathes, mills, and other machining operations.

- Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

- Ability to use precision measuring tools (callipers, micrometers, etc.).

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Previous experience working with hydraulic systems or in a similar engineering field.

- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.

- Ability to weld is considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
