Machinist

Our work encompasses a variety of small to large precision industrial parts and we are in need of a skilled machinist with a keen interest in craftsmanship.

About Us:

Croatia Industries provides custom machine works, fabrication, millwright and engineering services for the mining, energy, forestry, and industrial sectors. We specialize in custom machine works and large machining projects with manufacturing and repair capabilities.

Employment Requirements:

Journeyperson or equivalent relevant experience Detail orientated mindset Capacity to manage one's own projects and timelines Good communication skills with the ability to understand verbal instructions
The following is considered an asset:

Experience programming and operating CNC machine tools

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables to determine machining operations to be performed and to plan the sequence of operations Compute dimensions and tolerances Measure and lay out work pieces Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools to perform precision machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, drilling, grinding and other operations Verify dimensions of part features for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments Complete and submit part inspection reports and note deviations from specified tolerances to the supervisor Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair Ensure that all company standards, including safety, are complied with as well as associated checks and inspections are completed as required Actively participate in the ongoing review and improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Identify, report and participate as required in the Improvement Opportunity Process
