Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly Set up and adjust production machineries/tools Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Clean machines and immediate work areas Set up and operate heavy-metal working machines to cut and shape metal into parts Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
