Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of machining equipment and will be responsible for producing precision parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machining requirements. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while operating machinery and handling materials. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

Skills:

Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of machining principles, including cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling selection. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

Journeyman or Red Seal certification Class 5 driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with hydraulic components is an asset. Welding experience is an asset.
