Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team in Ontario. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our operations by utilizing your expertise to ensure precision and quality in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables Set up and adjust production machineries/tools Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

Experience, Education and specialization

Trade Certificate / Certificate of training Completion of a Machinist apprenticeship program OR equivalent practical experience. Mininimum of 5 years or more experience Measuring tools Micrometers Callipers Gauges Instrument experience Precision measuring instrument Equipment and machinery experience Cylindrical grinders Honing machines Grinder Lathes Heavy machinery manufacturing Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Ability to work independently Attention to detail Personal suitability Accurate Team player
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
