Job Description

Select People Solutions is working with our client in manufacturing as they search for a machinist to join their team. As a machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machines and tools, interpreting drawings, part fabrication, and working with the maintenance team to tend to warehouse equipment. You will be working with a team of engineers and production staff to meet production goals while maintaining company standards.

• The rate of pay will be $33.46-$36.47/hr.
• 40 hours a week regularly during 7:00am \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x80\x9c 4:00pm with the occasional rotating shift (12:00pm-9:00pm)

• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining specifications
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
• Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and perform maintenance of various plant machinery and equipment
• Select and install tooling, cutting tools, and fixtures as required
• Monitor machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and perform routine maintenance
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve machining processes and efficiency
• Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during maintenance or installation of machinery

• Ability to lift 50lbs safely
• Journeyperson machinist certification
• 2 years experience working as a machinist on a variety of equipment
• Understanding of designs and blueprints, including an ability to apply them to machines and environments
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic math skills that are reliable and accurate

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
