If you answered YES to the above questions, then we have an exciting opportunity with a rock solid Design and Manufacturing facility since 1978 looking for skilled Machinists for full time work In the Woodstock area.

What we offer:

• Shift: Monday-Friday Day shift
• Wage: $27.44 to start, will increase to $30.49 after 480hrs. plus OT and wage increases throughout year.

Key Responsibilities for job:

• Setup, align, and secure pre-designed and built work-holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and steel materials on all manual and CNC lathes and Mill Machinery
• Sets up and operates Mills and manual and CNC lathes to fabricate metallic parts by following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications
• Interprets blueprints to understand the requirements in terms of dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, pre-established sequence of operations, and pre-established setup requirements.
• Understands pre-established tool selection and controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to input, or edit computerized/manual lathe controls.
• Starts and observes lathe operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.
• other duties, such as broaching or bushing installation, as required from time to time, verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications.
• Perform all work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario (OHSA) and the policies and procedures recorded in the Company Health and Safety manual.
• Maintain parts inventory using the computerized inventory system,
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Basic trigonometry skills.
• Ability to apply common understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several distinct variables in standardized situations.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds (13.6 kg) and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg).

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years related experience and/or training.
