Job Description
We are seeking a motivated high performer to join our fast paced and exciting services Team. Our machine shop work force is regularly assigned to attend to installations, maintenance, and repairs for our customers in the marine and industrial sector. CME has facilities coast to coast in Canada. This work is complex; it involves equipment troubleshooting and extensive repairs that may continue for days or weeks at a time.
Main responsibilities Required
Perform In-situ machining work. Operate line boring equipment, flange facers, portable lathes and mills. Perform Machining work in workshop environment. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Operate Lathes, Mills, Boring Mills, Vertical Lathes, and Large Machining Equipment. Use of Precision measuring equipment. Work with other employees and contractors in a Safe Professional manner. Follow Canadian Maritime Engineering Safe Work Practices and protocols. Complete job-related paperwork according to Canadian Maritime Engineering standards. Candidates must be able to pass security check- Security / Background check will be conducted. Complete safety and job specific training. Complete customer and site-specific safety training.
Desired Skills:
In-situ Machining Experience using flange facers, lathes, key cutters, mills and line boring equipment. Can work independently in machine shop. Well-rounded mechanical and machining knowledge Experience operating Large Machining Equipment. IE; Lathes, Mills Boring, Portable equipment.
Credentials:
Diploma or equivalent Machining Program.
Machinist Red seal.
5 Years experience in industrial repair.
English fluently (required)

Pay: $29.00-$40.00 per hour
