This position is located at our Cobourg plant and will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.Position and ResponsibilitiesThe position typically involves the following activities:

• Manufacture tooling used for production consumables from drawings to maintain minimum stock levels as required.
• Setup and programming of CNC Mills and Lathes used to manufacture components

• Assist other Manufacturing Engineering personnel in resolving problems with manufacturing tooling and equipment.
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Willing to work shifts when required.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and QualificationsRequirements of position:

• Valid Ontario Provincial certificate of qualification as a Machinist or possess equivalent skill in a related trade.
• Three to five years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong, proven mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing environment.
• Have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills - verbal and written.

• Committed to continuous improvement.

• Possess the ability to work independently or with a group in a team environment.

• Maintain a positive attitude and motivate other employees.

Assets:

• Experience with Computer aided programming.
• Experience with Computer aided design software.
• Certificate of qualification Tool and Die Maker
