MACHINIST (RED SEAL)

Responsibilities Include:

Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings.

Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup and repair of machinery.

Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.

Operate machine tools such as lathes and mills to fabricate parts/tools/fixtures required during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery.

Perform other routine preventative maintenance on machinery

Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation

Work with preventative maintenance programs and keep proper maintenance records

Ability to work 8-hour shifts, five days a week on a two-week shift rotation, with optional overtime
