Roles and Responsibilities:



Machine raw material to finished goods as per specific drawing Read and interpret blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operations to be performed; Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces; Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to perform precision machining operations, including turning work, milling, drilling, planning, drilling and grinding; Check with precision measuring instruments, if the dimensions of the products are accurate and conform to specifications. Use all measuring tools for inspections and checking own work Follow industry standard guidelines for machining Ensure machinery and work areas are kept clean Adhere to the requirements of the Quality, Health and Safety programs Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:



Journeyman Certificate and/or 5 or more years of experience operating multiple machines Extensive experience with manual machines is an asset, indentured apprentices will be considered Good Physical Condition Welder/Fabricator experience would be considered a strong asset Mechanical aptitude, experience or certification in other trades an asset Self motivated, organized and able to work independently Able to work in a team environment and utilize all available resources Excellent communication skills - both oral and written Desire to succeed and grow within the organization Previous supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
