afternoon shift

The Expediter ensures the timely flow of materials, parts, and equipment to support production and customer requirements. In aerospace and nuclear environments, this role is critical to maintaining production schedules, meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities



Monitor purchase orders, production schedules, and delivery timelines to anticipate and resolve shortages or delays. Follow up with suppliers and vendors to confirm order status, expedite shipments, and address potential issues. Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow. Track shipments, update delivery schedules, and escalate risks that may impact operations. Maintain accurate records of shipments, order status, and expediting activities. Use ERP/MRP systems to manage work orders and update delivery timelines. Support warehouse and production teams with staging, dispatching, and safe handling of materials. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Identify recurring supply chain issues and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency.

Education & Experience:



High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in expediting, supply chain, procurement, or material coordination, preferably in aerospace or nuclear manufacturing. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments. Familiarity with AS9100 standards, lean manufacturing practices. Experience operating material handling equipment such as Counterbalance and Walkie is an asset.
