Paper Machine & Operations Support Responsbilities




Duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Supervise daily paper machine operations and coordinate with hourly personnel to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and new technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and budget objectives. Monitor production performance, generate operational reports, and support planning through data analysis and performance tracking. Provide safety leadership, enforce housekeeping standards, and actively participate in safety programs and SOP development. Conduct process evaluations, tests, and equipment performance analyses to improve system efficiency and product quality. Support troubleshooting and corrective actions across electrical, mechanical, and process areas. Participate in daily production meetings and provide call-in support as needed.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Engineering, or equivalent experience required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Minimum 3 years of related supervisory experience required.
