Machine Operator/process Worker
Job Description
We are a limestone manufacturer and quarry operation. Our small family owned company is searching for candidates for machine operators for a rotating shift.
Qualifications :
Must be able to drive and operate mobile equipment using levers and pedals to operate
Previous experience working in a Mining, refinery or chemical plant highly preferred
Ability to read labels, safety warnings and guidelines
Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress and track status
Ability to be physically active over long periods of time, ability to lift and carry 50 pounds over short distances
Attention to detail and alert to ensure safety
Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
Good physical strength, grip strength, dexterity, flexibility and endurance
Critical thinking, analysis and evaluation abilities
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
Schedule:
10 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
Upper Musquodoboit, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 2025-03-31
