We're growing rapidly and are looking to add a full-time Production Supervisor to our team. In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing floor during the afternoon shift, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You'll oversee production schedules, support a team of operators, and uphold our high standards for quality and food safety- ensuring every bag of pita chips reflects our commitment to excellence.

This is a full-time role based on a four-day workweek (Monday to Thursday), with occasional Fridays and potential midnight shifts based on production needs as we continue to grow. Position Overview

Cedar Valley Selections Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated

Machine Operator

to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting our automated bagging line to ensure smooth and efficient production throughout each shift.

This role involves hands-on operation of

automated bagging equipment

in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator will perform product changeovers, monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain consistent product quality and output.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor the bagging line to ensure consistent and efficient production. Perform

changeovers

between product formats (e.g., Costco-size and small retail bags), adjusting mechanical and control settings as needed. Troubleshoot issues involving sensors, temperature controls, air cylinders, and sealing mechanisms to prevent production delays. Perform routine line adjustments, replace film rolls, and clear jams as required. Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, and maintenance contractors to identify and resolve equipment issues. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste. Ensure compliance with all

Health, Safety, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety

standards. Conduct basic checks and visual inspections of the bagger and associated equipment to identify potential issues early. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with sanitation policies. Report any mechanical or performance issues promptly to the maintenance or supervisory team. Participate in safety and operational training sessions as required. Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines as part of routine operation. Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns or escalating to maintenance when necessary.

Qualifications

2-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred

, ideally within a

food production or packaging environment

. Previous experience operating

bagging or packaging machines

in a

food manufacturing environment

. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Familiarity with

GMP

HACCP

,

WHMIS

, and general

food safety

requirements (training can be provided). Ability to perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers independently. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
