We are seeking a skilled

Landscape Machine Operator

to join our growing landscaping and construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a variety of landscape machinery and equipment, ensuring efficient site preparation, installation, and maintenance of outdoor spaces. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in diverse outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor landscape machinery such as skid steers, mini-excavators, loaders, trenchers, compactors, and ride-on mowers. Set up and calibrate equipment for site grading, earthmoving, sod installation, planting, and hardscape construction. Read and interpret site plans, landscape drawings, and work orders to execute project requirements. Perform routine equipment checks, lubrication, and minor maintenance to ensure machines remain in safe working condition. Assist with loading/unloading of materials and site preparation. Collaborate with crew members in tasks such as planting, irrigation setup, paving, retaining wall construction, and other landscape installations. Maintain a clean and organized worksite while following all safety protocols. Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with equipment during operations.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a

machine operator in landscaping, construction, or a related field

. Proficiency in operating skid steers, mini-excavators, trenchers, compactors, and other landscape equipment. Knowledge of grading, excavation, and general landscaping processes. Ability to read and follow landscape/site plans accurately. Valid driver's license (heavy equipment/forklift certification is an asset). Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Previous landscaping or construction experience is highly desirable.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
