We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various woodworking machinery and equipment, with a focus on quality control and efficiency. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to read blueprints, ensuring that all products meet our high standards.
Responsibilities
Operate milling machines, metal lathes, and wood moulder machines according to specifications.
Operate metal filing machines and metal grinders to create knife heads for moulder machines
Perform moulder knife head changes and setup for various machining tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining processes.
Conduct quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in production.
Assemble components as per specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operations.
Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and machinery.
Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and machining tasks.
Experience with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
Prior warehouse experience is beneficial, including packaging and assembly tasks.
