We are looking for seasoned machine operators who are mechanically inclined, have an aptitude for math, computers and mechanics; a results oriented, high performer able to work collaboratively in a team; are flexible and have strong attention to detail with critical thinking skills, please read the below key responsibilities and see if this is an opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Champion and support our safe, respectful, and productive work environment; ensure that Safety, Production and Accuracy standards are met; comply with GMP and HACCP and BRC standards;
Read and interpret diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May make minor repairs to packaging equipment as required.
Responsible for the quality and safety of our product. Secures the mechanical deployment and sealing of the finished product to the prescribed packaging material, at the appropriate weight within the production schedule. Documents inventory number and weight and organizes packages.
Accountable for product verification, fill weight control, product loss control, packaging efficiency, package quality and identification, finished product quality, and finished product/package quantity. Verifies goods packaged against package invoices.
Regularly perform sanitation duties to prepare for the next production run; keep all equipment on production lines clean, sanitary & organized condition; coordinate waste activities
Communicate clear expectations for work outcomes to team members.
Escalate any concerns about performance to the shift supervisor/production manager
Proposes improvements to the processes or machines involved
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of packaging equipment, processing, and hands on experience with troubleshooting; aptitude for math, computers, mechanics and problem-solving
1 - 3 years proven hands-on experience within the food industry or high-speed packaging plant; post-secondary schooling or completed apprenticeship preferred
Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment and lift up to 55 lbs.

Working Conditions
In a plant environment that entails physically demanding and sometimes dangerous exposure to hazardous materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift and move heavy objects.?Willing to perform repetitive tasks.
