Machine Operator Rotating Shift $21/hr
Job Description
Our Client, a leader in the Packaging Industry is looking for a Machine Operator to join their team.
Duties:
Operate packaging lines & associated equipment to achieve production and quality standards
Set up and change over in a timely manner
Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance as required
General area housekeeping and maintain the line and equipment in a clean and safe manner
Perform quality weight checks on line
Complete shift paperwork
Other duties as assigned
May be asked to participate in Continuous Improvement activities
Requirements
Basic English literacy and numeracy
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Ability to trouble shoot
Ability to react quickly to line failures, take corrective action and keep pace with line demands while acting in a safe manner
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Ability to work well with others
Previous experience with hot melt systems, ink jet coders, fillers, cappers, labellers and forklift operation is desirable
This position involves rotating shift work
