Job Description

We are seeking an energetic individual with excellent communication skills to fill in our manufacturing line and start immediately. The position involves running paper manufacturing equipment (slitter rewinders). Machinery operation experience is a requirement for the position.

We offer a starting wage of $22.01 for the first training period with quick progression to $24.58 per hour and a regular shifts 40 hours per week. The training period will be on the day shift from 6am to 2:30pm. After the initial training period the position will be on our afternoon shift starting at 2:15pm with 4 x 10 hour shifts. The pay has scheduled pay increasing schedule which could cap out at $34.30 per hour + RRSP contributions and benefits.

Qualifications

Production machinery operation experience Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and order picking tasks efficiently. Experience in warehouse distribution and management systems. Mechanical knowledge with a background in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts and clamp trucks preferred. Previous experience in paper manufacturing machine operator role is a plus. Ability to commute and meet the day shift training and afternoon shift operating needs and are already located in the greater Vancouver area.
