Western Archrib is looking for a motivated individual to join our Production Team. This machine operator position will be based out of our new Sturgeon County production facility.

About the position



In this role, you will be responsible for operating brand-new, state-of-the-art, planning and sanding equipment at our new production facility. Some duties will include but not limited to:

Set up and operate the Ledinek Planer to produce accurate and consistent glulam member sizing.

Set up and operate the IMEAS EvoL Sander to achieve proper surface finish.

Enter production batch data into machine controls/HMI controls.

Adjust feed speeds, cutterheads, sanding belts, and other machine settings to maintain production and quality standards.

Monitor machine performance, product quality, and material flow throughout the shift.

Assist with knife changes, cutterhead adjustments, sanding belt changes, and machine alignments.

Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance on both machines.

Inspect finished product for dimensional accuracy, thickness, and surface quality.

Follow all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Requirements



Previous experience operating industrial machinery is an asset; planer or sander experience preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine settings.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.

Clear and effective communicator in English, both spoken and written.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Candidates must be able to lift to a maximum of 50lbs consistently and repeatably.

Flexibility to work different shifts (day or afternoon) as workload requires; shift times to be determined.

Work Schedules



Standard work schedule will be Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm, but subject to change once the plant is fully operational. Overtime may be required on occasion.

Compensation



Wage will start at $25/hour. Wage will be evaluated and increased with more training, competency, and progression with the role and company.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
