Stuyvers Bread, located in the Gloucester Industrial Park in Aldergrove, is looking for a Machine Operator to work in our bakery production facility!

NIGHT SHIFT

10:00pm - 6:30am

Monday - Friday FULL TIME

$24.00 hourly + $3.00 night shift hourly premium

About the position:

The Operator is responsible for running the machine line, ensuring the product is up to specifications prior to proceeding through the production process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct the daily startup checklist. Ensure appropriate machine components are in place as per product specifications; changing out as needed while following lock out procedures. Monitor machine controls and ensuring accuracy at all times. Weigh/measure test pieces of dough at specified intervals to ensure that QA specifications are met. Fill topping distributor trays as needed; as per product specifications. Ensure all cut dough products are consistent as per specifications. Collect and discard/recycle excess dough and record weight accordingly. Ensure that the line is clear, and any dough jams/build ups are cleared; blow out any debris. Verify correct oil spray bar is in place and functioning properly, change if needed. Pull dough trough for processing from mixing at correct fermentation time. Communicate with Mixers if any issues or interference with product and timing. Top up Flour bumper when necessary, record usage in ERP System. Record all usage of ingredients in ERP System. Empty topping duster, disassemble parts and take to wash down area as required at end of production. Maintain proper communication throughout the shift, between the outgoing/incoming shift. Always keep the work area clean and tidy; perform end of shift daily cleaning tasks. Report and record any product quality nonconformances, machine malfunctions, Food Safety/GMP violations, and Safety violations. Work in other areas as assigned by Production Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

Ability to work along a fast-paced production line, standing for long periods of time. Previous experience in a production environment using an automated machine is an asset. Ability to read, write, follow instruction, and communicate in English. Ability to use automated ERP system for record and data keeping. Strong attention to proper work procedures and working safely in a production environment. A willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas to improve team performance.

Punctuality and good attendance is mandatory.

Ability to work in other areas as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
