We are looking for General Operators to join our team in Milton, ON. This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule. 12 hour shifts rotate from day to night weekly.

You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.

12 hour shifts are (days and nights) 8:00 \xe2\x80\x93 8:00

Your future team:

You will become part of the Operations team on the production line, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Each team has up to 9 team members who work together to produce high quality stone wool products.

High school diploma or equivalent

Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and ability to work in a safe manner

Prior experience in machine set-up and computers

Good understanding of how equipment operates to clear equipment safely

Forklift experience/certification

What you will be doing:

Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace

Report quantity of deficiencies and the cause

Separate waste

Report all irregularities related to the work of subordinate devices

Partner with Maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment and safe removal of failures and/or machine problems

Inform supervisor and relevant shifts of any problems or tasks in need of attention

Plan efficient product changes

Communicate unusual conditions, equipment issues, or reasons for change of production volume to cross shift operator

Complete shutdown tasks and procedures

Work Environment & Conditions:

Fast-paced high volume production facility

Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours per day

Ability to lift 60 lbs alone and 120 lbs with another person

Ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height

Ability to wear protective safety equipment for several hours daily
