Machine Operator- Grinding Booth

AROW Global LTD. Winnipeg, MB, is currently looking for an experienced machine operator to join our OEM/DPS department in the grinding booth. If you are familiar with working with your hands and using a grinder to perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding of metal objects, this opportunity may be the career you are looking for!

Days 7:30 am to 4:00 pm- Starting Wage: $17.65/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner Working with your hands, lifting, and moving large pieces of metal, and standing for hours at a time, requires physical strength and stamina To perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding of metal objects to fit blueprints, drawings, and breakdown specifications Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations Wear all necessary PPE required (PAPR and respirators are required and provided for this position) Working in a team environment where everyone works together to complete orders on time The ability to use precision measurement instruments Understanding the importance of producing quality products The ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced manufacturing environment The ability to read/interpret drawings/ and breakdowns

Skills, Qualifications, and Physical Requirements

Previous experience in Manufacturing is considered an asset Strong ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously when required Wearing a respirator is required for this position
