Job Title: Machine Operator- Grinding Booth Department: OEM/DPS Reports To: Cell Leaders Starting wage: $15.35/ hour Shift: Evenings/ Days Available AROW Global LTD. Winnipeg, MB is currently looking for an experienced machine operator to join our OEM/DPS department in the grinding booth. If you are familiar with working with your hands and using a grinder to perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding of metal objects, this opportunity may be the career you are looking for!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Working with your hands, lifting, and moving large pieces of metal, and standing for hours at a time, requiring physical strength and stamina
• To perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding of metal objects to fit blueprints, drawings, and breakdown specifications
• Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations
• Wear all necessary PPE required (PAPR, and respirators are required and provided for this position)
• Working in a team environment where everyone works together to complete orders on time
• The ability to use precision measurement instruments
• Understanding the importance of producing quality products
• The ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• The ability to read/interpret drawings/ and breakdowns

Skills, Qualifications, and Physical Requirements

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing Company is considered an asset
• Strong ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals
• The ability to lift to 50 lbs. continuously when required
