Position Overview
We are seeking a
Machine Operator
who will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and operating warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment (e.g., Cutting, drilling, bending, or welding machines) to support steel fabrication process.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings to ensure accurate machine setup and operation.
Set up machines by selecting and installing proper tools, fixtures, and materials.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot basic machine issues and report mechanical problems to maintenance as required.
Maintain accurate production records, logs, reports.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Qualifications
High school diploma required or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant disciplines is a plus
Experience as Machine Operator
Skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling (Bakes, Press and/or Plasma Cutting) as well as precision measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret structural blueprint drawings
Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
Ability to understand structural steel fitting process
Must be safety conscious and adhere to safety processes and policies

Weekend Shift (Friday to Sunday) 6:30 am to 6:15 pm
May be required to work additional hours based on plant needs
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
Requires standing, lifting, and walking throughout the shift.
