Machine Operator

(CNC Machine)

to join our team and would be willing to train the right candidate. This position is full-time and reports to the Plant/Production Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Set-up and run the CNC Machine Regular in-process inspections Perform daily operational checks, machine maintenance and clean-up Use of hand and power tools, oxy acetylene torch Meet processing production schedule Accurately use basic measuring devices Give direction to machine helpers Work closely with various departments to support production deadlines and meet customer demands Proactively participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities, taking responsibility to maintain an organized and effective working environment Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, management and customers Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Education & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred Knowledge of CNC Machine/experience with machining considered an asset Proficient in the use of measuring instruments (caliper, tape measure), hand and power tools Mechanically inclined Strong mathematical aptitude Able to lift up to 50lbs (lifting of material and products) Able to stand for long periods of time

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements:

Teamwork and collaboration Work independently when required Fluent in English (must be able to speak, read and write in English) Willingness to work overtime when required Excellent verbal and written communications skills required (able to follow verbal and written instructions) Comfortable in a manufacturing environment (work can be physical, strenuous and involve frequent lifting) Must be able to pass the security requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
