Job Type:

Probation Wage:

$24.75 to $26.45 + Shift Premium

Probation Completion Wage:

$26.68 + Shift Premium

One Year Wage:

$28.01 + Shift Premium

Pay ranges are dependent on shift and experience*

CNC Operator Shift:



Weekend Nights: Friday: 12:00am (Thursday midnight)-6:00am, Friday to Sunday: 6:00pm-6:00am.

Brake Press Operator Shift:



Nights: Sunday evening to Friday morning: 10:00pm-6:30am
40 hours

Must be flexible to work all shifts. Determined shifts are straight shifts

CNC Operator - Key Responsibilities:



Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the "Act") and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that Mott requires to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is aware Run break downs on the machine as per schedule. Inspect, verify material, and dimensions of parts. Inspect, verify gauges and approve raw material for use. Inform the team leader of any variation between parts and prints. Verify quantities of parts to the prints. Remove slugs from the machine to avoid marking the remaining material. Maintain all logs, paperwork, and records. Perform other dues as required (i.e. maintain equipment and conduct minor repairs such as oiling, changing rollers, and completing records accordingly).

Skills & Experience:



Previous mechanical experience Ability to learn new technology & apply mechanical abilities Ability to read engineering drawings and data sheets Intermediate computer skills including Windows Systems Must know how to use a tape measure and vernier Intermediate math skills including the ability to convert fractions to decimals Ability to operate with a continuous sense of urgency in a fast-paced working environment Strong organizational & problem solving skills Intermediate verbal & written communication skills Physically fit for heavy lifting of >35 lbs

Brake Press Operator Key Responsibilities



Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the "Act") and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that Mott requires to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is aware Perform Daily Safety, 5S, and PM check list items Read Mott drawings effectively Use proper devices to verify specifications Inspect, verify material, and dimensions of parts prior to braking Select and change dies Determine correct braking order Utilize appropriate helper when working with large tooling or large parts Set-up the brake press for any required material, gauges or parts in an effective and timely manner for case work products Form different materials and gauges as per prints provided for case work, miscellaneous, and workstation product Use second foot pedal properly Inform leader of any program or design concerns Prevent damage to equipment and dies Follow quality procedures for first and last offs Able to organize work table for optimum productivity Maintain accurate part counts Flatten parts as needed Store parts on carts in a safe manner and tag with correct breakdown numbers Move carts to the correct zones Maximize production effectiveness and work flow through team work Train and advise others Perform other duties as required

Skills & Experience:



Minimum of 1 year of brake press experience Ability to read blueprints and data sheets Must know how to use a tape measure Must know how to use a vernier Basic math skills including the ability to convert fractions to decimals Good organizational skills Physically fit for heavy lifting of >35 lbs
