Job Description

The Machine Operator assists with setup, daily maintenance and troubleshooting of Copack production lines and production-related equipment. Reports to the Production Supervisor. Works alongside the Maintenance department to ensure efficient and effective production and that products are produced to quality standards. Adheres to the Employee Policy Manual.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Copack machinery to plant standards. Maintain performance standards. Assist with maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery. Conduct troubleshooting activities to keep product up to quality standards. Assist Line Leaders with production equipment to minimize downtime. Seek assistance from the maintenance department when needed. Reduce scrap levels by improving operating equipment performance. Log all adjustments and maintenance activity on the equipment. Ensure compliance with the Green Book (Ontario Health & Safety Regulations). Be familiar with relevant SDSs and WHIMS. Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Risk Management

Complete all tasks in a safe manner, following provincial and company health and safety regulations & Plant Safe Practices. Qualify and maintain safety certifications as required. Assist in workplace inspections when requested. Perform work in a safe manner at all times; stop production when there is a critical safety concern. Follow log out-tag out procedures and ensure that all safety equipment on machines is in proper working order.

Quality Management

Adhere to GMPs. Provide input to resolve quality issues. Complete all tasks in a quality manner as outlined in the company's mission statement. Anticipate and identify potential quality issues to appropriate personnel.

Pay: From $18.40 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
