The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance & cleaning support in Axioms plastic injection molding facility. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for preventative maintenance activities, including but not limited to, cleaning and lubing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to manufactures specifications as well as maintenance and automation of robots. You will also be required to clean/maintain the plant floor facilities and equipment. What you can expect as our next Maintenance Technician: Clean and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, etc.), Clean up spills with appropriate equipment when required.Conduct preventative maintenance activities and record information as required. This includes cleaning and lubing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to manufactures specifications as well as maintenance and automation of robotsComfortable working at heights and in tight spacesAssist / conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and in facility as requiredKeeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of actionPerforms general plant maintenance, including checking and replacing faulty lighting throughout the facility, and basic plumbing repairsPainting, cleaning and assembly of miscellaneous items / equipment as requiredMaintain good housekeeping and 5S practices, Maintain a safe and clean work environmentEnsure compliance / enforcement of Axiom Plastics plant standards Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health and safety rules and regulationsPerform additional tasks as assignedMaybe required to assist other departments Are you our next Maintenance Technician? Mechanically inclined and good aptitude, highly focused and driven to learnSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Time management skillsTask oriented and highly focused. Must be able to take directionExperience with hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and pride in quality work, Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Good verbal and written communication skills, able to read and write in EnglishMust have basic computer and calculator proficiencyMust be punctual, reliable and good work ethic.Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and good manufacturing practicesFork lift license and overhead crane certification is an assetAbility to lift up to 60 lbs waist high, be able to reach, bend, stoop & climb Perks?!
